Welcome to our new blog . . .

Hi there, I'm Boris and I just wanted to say welcome to the Best (not very exotic) Doggy Hotel and our new blog!  I'm the oldest - and, therefore, the most senior of our little pack (not including The Memsahib herself of course - who we refer to as "M").  Anyway the others are my son Spud - who is a bit of a romeo, (well thinks he is) , Roxy our girlie Staffie who is ball obsessed (thinks it's a handbag or summit?) and calles it her 'ballie' and finanlly last, but not least, Noodles the Chinese Crested who is . .  er . . . different shall we say.  We live here at Olde England and share our home with lots of different guest doggies.

We had a great Christmas - good food, lots of sweeties and the fires lit as well as good company.  New Year was nice too although the M had a snotty cold so wasn't on top form - still dragged her out for nice long walkies though.  Actually I've picked up the nickname 'Boris the Barometer' coz I don't do bad weather - rain to be exact- and can predict it without fail . . . which means I sometimes won't get out the car . . . and you can't make me!  I'm not partial to fog either.  I'm definately a fair weather walker, so there.  Well at my advancing years I don't see why I should get cold and wet - I'm low to the ground you know.  I'll just stay in the warm until you get back thanks.  If I am coerced I will just hide up anyway so you may as well leave me in peace. Ha.

Herself is on a post festivities diet of course . . .(again) . . . Hoomans are funny like that.  I shall keep an eye on my biccie tin make sure she doen't raid it!  Our friends Katie & Charlie came for Christmas and brought us some really nice homemade doggy biccies - peanut and coconut - yum - . . .  so I wouldn't put it past the M to sample a few if she gets desperate!

Other news?  Noodles cut his paw whist trying to take out a squirrel Ninja style of course so he has been hobbling about a bit.  Roxy got a new ballie form Katie and Charlie because someone nicked her one that she takes on walkies - well she must have dropped it getting in the car and someone half inched it before we could go back and find it.  No idea why they would want it - it only fits in a Staffy gob. Spud is ok but hoping we will get a few lady guests in soon.  Honey has just been - who is a favourite guest of course, but now Dexter is here and Spud says it just isn't the same, but maybe that's because Dexter sits on his head from time to time.

We have a new dogmobil now - the dear old Rav just about had enough but has gone off roading in retirement.  The new one is lush . . . it's got heating and everything!  And a duvet just for us!  It is nice and roomy and there is a grid thingy to stop the driver from disturbing us now, instead of the security cage we had in the Rav.  The M fusses over it a bit but I expect that the novelty will wear off eventually.

Well thats about all for now and anyway I'd better go now and count my biccies  . . .

Love and Licks Boris
